There must be something in the water. I have been booking more newborn and maternity sessions than ever before. Many of these are part of my Baby's First Year package which I always look forward to shooting. There is something that never gets old about watching them grow and the changes that accompany that during year one.
Sunday I met with this family to photograph their newest addition. I spent a little over an hour working with her around her schedule - a must for newborns and to be expected. She did a wonderful job considering she had just arrived home from the hospital the previous day. I wanted to post a few of my favorites here on my blog and congratulate mom and dad on their new arrival! Enjoy.
A Beautiful Maternity Session | {Lexington Ky Maternity Photography}
I love working with new families and Saturday morning was no exception. I met this family for a maternity session on location here in Lexington Ky and we had a great morning to walk the fields, get to know each other, and create some memories of their soon to be expanding family. Their young man won my heart with his cowboy boots, button down, and vest and the rest of the morning went as well as one could hope for. All this led to some pretty amazing photos of which I wanted to share a few here on my blog. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed working with them! Take a look :
2016 Senior Rep - Alex! {Lexington Ky Senior Photographer}
Today I have the privilege of introducing my fourth and final 2016 Senior Rep, Alex. Alex is a senior at Dunbar High School here in Lexington, Ky. We met downtown last Sunday and spent a couple of hours working on her senior session, exploring a new photo location, grabbing coffee (well at least Steve and I), and talking about her plans for the future. I have to say, it was a great morning and this young lady has a bright future ahead of her! If you're a senior and know Alex, feel free to ask her about her session and how you can book yours. Twins! {Lexington Ky Children's Photographer}
I had a mother call me several weeks ago with a special request. She had preemie twin girls born at 25 weeks two years ago and simply had not had a lot of time to have good photos taken of her girls. Both girls have NG feeding tubes and she asked if I could remove the tube out of a handful of her favorite photos. I have to say I really wanted this to turn out well and help out if I could.
The girls are absolutely beautiful and I had a lot of fun with them high fiving, playing peek a boo, and trying to get a few good photos in the process. I wanted to share some of my favorites and a couple of edited photos as well. I think they turned out great! I am hoping to work with them again and perfect the hardest part of this assignment - getting them to sit still together at the same time!! Here are the photos :
Maternity Session | { Lexington Ky Maternity Photographer}
Saturday morning I met with this couple for the first session of their Baby's First Year photo package. They decided they wanted to begin with a maternity session and then add two more after their baby arrives. I had previously worked with them as part of a large family photo last fall and was glad to get to know them more in this session. I had a good time Saturday and look forward to working with them again - soon!
