Sunday afternoon was a beautiful day to be outdoors with a camera in hand. As luck would have it, I had a senior session with Aiden that day and it was perfect. We began in one of my favorite places - downtown Lexington. I like that location because it seems as if every turn onto a new block opens another opportunity for poses and creative backdrops. Since we were already downtown, we decided to go over to his high school, Sayre, for a few shots before finishing the day at their baseball field. It was a fun session, a beautiful day, and time passed quickly. Before I knew it, we were finished but not before making some great memories in some meaningful locations. It was truly time well spent. Here is a look at a few of my favorites:

It always seems like time flies when I work with families who have purchased a Baby's First Year Package. Such was the case Sunday when I met with this family again after what seems like only yesterday when we did their maternity session. This time though, I had the privilege of photographing their newest family member - a baby boy! He was in a great mood and his nursery was all decked out in a Monsters Inc. theme. I grabbed some photos of him and his family before bringing out some of his room decor to finish the session. All in all, it was a great morning and I look forward to seeing them again in six months - it will be here before you know it! Here is a quick look at a few from the morning :

As I was leaving for this session, Facebook was kind enough to remind me that on this date four years ago I shot my first wedding. The timing could not have been better. I knew that it was around the same time that I got my start with my first newborn session. That newborn session just happened to be with this young man's older brother. So here I was, heading off to photograph him nearly five years after I started with his older brother. A lot has changed since then but I am grateful that, like this family, a lot of you have really helped me get my feet on the ground as a photographer. Now I have weekends where I feel the need to pinch myself because I am so busy with this great passion of mine. I don't know when, how, or if it will end but for now I am enjoying the journey that began almost 5 years ago. Here's to many more and also a look at a few of my favorites from Saturday :

I had not seen Bethany in a few years and Sunday evening was the perfect chance to catch up with her during her photo session. She thought this would be a good time for a photo session since she will be leaving on an extended mission trip in a matter of days. I was happy to be able to help her and her family capture some photos of her before she left. As you can imagine, the time passed quickly but not before we were able to take some nice photos, explore the downtown area, and even work in a wardrobe change. She has a huge heart and I pray her work in the mission field goes well. Here are a few of my favorites from Sunday :

I always have a fun time working with seniors. I have even more fun when I find new locations for photo sessions and seniors that are willing to do a little exploring with me. Such was the case on Saturday when I met Cameron for his session. We started with a traditional look and setting and I must say he rocked the bow tie. We wanted to mix things up a little though and headed off to another location that I have never used before. That setting did not disappoint and worked great with his casual attire. It seemed there was something cool around every corner. We worked quickly there before heading off to find a soccer field to finish his session and wrap things up. All in all, it was a great way to spend a beautiful morning with a bright young man. He definitely has a nice future ahead of him. Here are a few of my favorites from his session :
