2017 Senior - Grace! | {Lexington KY Senior Photographers}
Wow, last weekend was extremely busy and I'm finally getting around to posting a preview from the final session. I must say, I finished on a high note with this one. The evening was perfect and Grace is a family friend that I haven't seen in several years. Now a senior at Lexington Christian Academy, it was a good chance to get caught up with her and her family. One of my favorite locations in downtown Lexington provided a backdrop full of potential. We even decided against a location change as there was ample backdrops for the entire session. It was a nice way to cap a fun and productive weekend and I get to look forward to starting the entire process over tomorrow! Here are a few, ok - a lot, of my favorites from Grace's session :
2017 Senior - Emma! {Lexington KY Senior Photographers}
I must admit that I am biased about this session. It's hard not to be when you have a chance to spend time with your daughter shooting her senior session. She asked for something unique, as I do a lot of sessions in Lexington, so we decided to go to Shaker Village which is about thirty minutes away. I could not have asked for a more beautiful morning and I must admit, it was nice to get away from traffic, urban noise, and the stress of everyday life. As she said in one of her social media posts, it was a little bittersweet. She's off to college next year and it was a good chance to spend some time together making memories before she begins the next chapter of her life. I have a lot of great memories from watching her grow into a beautiful young lady. I now have one more to add to those. Thanks Emma for being such a wonderful daughter, I hope you love your photos and the time we spent together on Sunday!
Fall With The Schmidt Family
I have a running joke with this family about the one time they went to another photographer for their family photos. Other than that, they've been working with me since pretty much the beginning! I've watched the family, and the girls, grow for a few years now. I must admit that I was a little disappointed when their oldest did not call me "Mr. Gwayne" as she had done for years. Oh well, time passes quickly and that same girl was now telling me exactly how a pumpkin grows from a seed. Needless to say, I was impressed! It was fun to catch up and watch them play while catching some great shots as well. I want to share a few of my favorites on the blog tonight!
Fall Family Session At Waveland | {Lexington Ky Family Photographers}
One perk of the photography job is the opportunity to meet new families. Such was the case on Saturday when this family met with me at Waveland for a family session. They drove down from Illinois to see their oldest daughter, a student at The University of Kentucky. While in Lexington they decided to take advantage of the time together and scheduled a session for their three daughters. It was a pleasure spending time with them, getting to know their interests, and playing a host with a few dinner recommendations for their evening. We even grabbed a few shots of the entire family as a bonus! I want to share some of my favorites with you here on my blog :
2017 Senior Session With Bryce | {Lexington Ky Senior Photographer}
Last weekend was very busy therefore the blog will be updated quickly this week as well so I can share some of my favorites from all my sessions. Today I begin with Bryce, a senior at Tates Creek High School. He was a great young man to work with and did a good job with the cool morning temperatures that often occur in Kentucky this time of year. Before I knew it, we had already been to two different areas in downtown Lexington and his session was finished but not before I was able to capture some of my favorite shots that I want to share with you today :
