It's been a busy week here on my blog which, of course, is a reflection of a busy weekend. This session was my final session and we met late Sunday afternoon to shoot their family photos. Mom did a great job of matching clothing, as she always does, and the girls were ready to go. That's a combination that always makes my job easier to say the least.
The last time I worked with this family, their youngest was a newborn and so we caught up on the last two years while the girls played in the fall leaves. Of course, I wanted to catch some of those candids as well and it was a good chance to do both. I was reminded of what a great family they are and how much fun I enjoy working with them. It was also a great way to end a busy weekend.
Here are some of my favorites that I want to share here on my blog :

I know that I have said it before but it's still true now. It's an honor and a compliment to watch families grow. I began working with this family when they were just getting out of college. Now, I see their hard work paying off with career moves and I've been able to photograph each of their three boys. Now a family of five, working with them is like catching up with old friends. I truly consider it more fun than work when we are together. My favorite line from Dad is, "I only need three good pictures Dwayne and I know you can do it". I think I got three, and more, from this last session. I'll let you take a look at some of my favorites and decide for yourself:

I love the chance to work with new families. That's one of the many benefits that I see from photography. Saturday I met this family at Waveland for their family session. Being Kentucky, the weather was of course unpredictable and unusually warm. They were well prepared though and had t-shirts and then simply slipped the sweaters on before the photos. I must say that worked great!
They told me that their little man had been looking forward to having his picture taken all week and he did not disappoint. He seemed to enjoy himself and posed wonderfully for the camera. I only hope he had as much fun as I did during the session!

It's always nice when there is a personal relationship with a client. Such was the case this past weekend with Haley. It seems like I've known her and her family forever. As it turns out, I've only known Haley since kindergarten when she shared a class with my daughter! I'll admit, the realization of that fact quickly made me feel old. Needless to say, I wanted to do a good job Saturday when we met downtown to begin her session. I always prefer to use more than one location for my seniors so there is a variety in their final portfolio. We opted for a local park to take advantage of a creek and more natural setting to finish out the morning. I was happy with the first look at the photos and quickly picked a few to share with you here on my blog.

I'm a huge college football fan. Maybe that's why I always look forward to senior sessions when my clients that want to include their football field in the shoot. Such was the case last weekend with Owen. I enjoyed the chance to work with him on the LCA football field before heading off to another location in downtown Lexington to finish his session. We worked in a few shots with his Jeep as well before we called it a wrap. Tonight I want to share a few of my favorites with you!
