2017 Senior Session : Ana | {Lexington Ky Senior Photographers}
I spent an absolutely beautiful evening last weekend in downtown Lexington working with this young lady. She was absolutely terrific to work with and we had a fun time exploring the area and looking for some new backdrops to go along with some of my favorites in the area. I was not surprised to learn that she has spent many years in ballet as she was a natural in front of the camera and had excellent posture. She made my job easy and the time passed quickly before we changed location and ended at Keeneland. These are a few of my favorites from the evening :
2017 Senior - Scott | {Lexington KY Senior Photographers}
Last week I met with Scott to work on his senior portfolio. I was looking forward to working at one of my favorite locations and then learned that they also had access to an abandoned train track. Of course, wanting to use that as well, we changed course and shot a few frames there as well. I don't know what it is, but I love a railroad track. I think it's the symbolism of being able to look back where you've been as well as taking a glance into where you're heading. That's perfect symbolism for seniors during their last year of high school if you ask me. We finished at their house which happens to sit on the 18th green of a local course. I have to say that it was the perfect ending to a great day. Take a look at a few of my favorites from the session :
2017 Senior - Morgan
It was a pleasure working with Morgan earlier this week. I knew from the beginning that she would be relaxed and easy going. She has a great personality and was very laid back. She wanted her session to represent a classic Kentucky mood and style. Speaking of style, a black dress with boots is always a classic and she pulled that off like a model. It was a fun day at Keeneland and we used some of the fence line to finish the session as the sun began to set over the horizon. The evening and the location were beautiful and that comes across in her photos. I want to share a few of my favorites with you here on my blog. As always, thanks for stopping by!
2017 Senior - Austin
I can't begin to tell you how much fun I had with this session but I will try. I like to play around and try new shots, angles, and poses on my sessions. Last weekend with this session, we had access to the locker room of a local high school football team and that provided a huge blank canvas for my imagination. We added some dramatic lighting and some fire for effects and I think the results are phenomenal. We began the session at Keeneland and captured more traditional photos that represent Kentucky and the Bluegrass with the barns, black fences, and of course, the Keeneland grandstand itself. I think it made a nice balance for the portfolio and I hope that Austin had as much fun as I did that day. Here is a look at his preview :
2017 Senior - Baye! |{Lexington Kentucky Senior Photographers}
I had three photos sessions on Sunday and want to share a preview from my last session today. I won't say that I saved the best for last, they were all good sessions with people that I love. But I will say that I finished with a bang and went out with flash, literally. We started this session in Lexington and decided, about 5 minutes before we began, to finish in historic Midway. All I can say is that both locations worked well and Baye did a fantastic job. As the sun began to drop in the evening sky, I brought out the flash and soft box for some dramatic lighting. I know that I had a good time and I believe that she did as well. These are a few of my favorites from her session, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
