Senior Session with Amir | {Lexington Ky Senior Photographer}
After a weather postponement the previous weekend, I finally had the chance to work with Amir on his senior portfolio. The delay was well worth it though as we were greeted with dry skies and fall colors. He decided to split his time between a traditional look and an urban, relaxed backdrop. That is actually a great idea for a balanced portfolio and works well with areas close to downtown as both looks are easily obtainable with a relatively short drive between locations. It was a nice opportunity to get to know him better and he was laid back and comfortable during the session. It all worked well together for a memorable Saturday morning. Here's a glimpse at a few of my favorites from the day :
An Engagement Session with Sarah and Travis | {lexington ky wedding photographer}
I love engagement photos so much that I not only encourage them, but I include them with all my wedding packages. They give the engaged couple and I a chance to work together and become familiar with each other before their wedding day. This reduces any awkward moments on their big day and ensures that they are comfortable with me and I have a chance to see how they respond to the camera. In a way, they can be thought of as a preview of what is to come.
After working with Sarah and Travis last weekend, I can't wait to photograph their wedding next summer. They were a lot of fun to work with and comfortable in front of the camera. There were plenty of smiles and relaxed poses as we walked the park under the afternoon cloud cover. The time truly passed before I was ready to call it a day but not before we were able to capture some great photos. I wanted to post of few of my favorites here on my blog. I hope you enjoy them!
Weekend Family Session | {Lexington Ky Family Photographer}
It's always a pleasure to work with and meet new families. Such was the case on Sunday as I wrapped up a busy weekend with this session here in Lexington, Ky. We met at a local park, a favorite of mine, and things went better than I could have imagined. Their little girl was in the best mood possible and her big brother was completely photogenic which made for some great family photos. I honestly had a hard time going through these and picking out favorites for this blog but I got them narrowed down and ready to share. That being said, here is their preview :
Evening in the Park
I met one of my favorite families in a downtown park this weekend for their fall photo session. I call them one of my favorites because I have now worked with them for .........a really long time (I am not good at keeping up with actual years and dates and such). Anyway, I have watched both their girls grow and they seem very comfortable in front of my camera at this point which makes my job much easier. Much like the last sessions, this one did not disappoint and I had a great time yet again. I am thankful for the support of familiar faces like these on my blog. I would not be here without you! Ben and Staci
Saturday afternoon I met this lovely couple in the middle of the city for their engagement session. Knowing that they are getting married downtown and like art as well as architecture made picking the location relatively easy. We spent the time together taking in a few of the local murals, the bus garage, and ended the session in a quaint park. I like their taste in locations and am looking quite forward to their wedding next year. Until then though, I can only leave you with a sample from their session.
