Lexington Ky Children's Photography | {A Night at the Fair}
The summer fair pulled into Lexington this week and it was a perfect time to take advantage of a new backdrop for photography. I met with Wade over the weekend for a little session as twilight descended on the fair and the lights began to shine. I believe that he was a little overwhelmed to be honest but who wouldn't be? Something new around every turn is more than a little stimulating. I had a good time watching him soak it all in and admiring what it was like to be a kid again. Here is a sample from the evening :
Lexington Ky Baby Photographer | {Daniel is now 6 months!}
Saturday evening I met with this little man for another session as part of his Baby's First Year package. We met at a local park and he was ready to show me just how much he had changed in only three months. Now with two new teeth and sitting with ease, he was a pleasure to work with. I always find it funny to watch these little ones express complete amazement with the texture of grass, the height of trees, and the great outdoors. In between exploring the surroundings, he took a few occasional breaks to flash that big grin and pose for the camera. I think he had a good time. I know I did and look forward to meeting up again in a few more months. Here is a look at some of those photos :
Lexington Newborn Photographer | (Baby Thomas}
I met this little man Sunday morning at his house here in Lexington, Ky. Photographing newborns has always been one of my favorite sessions. That was one of my very first sessions as a photographer and I have been able to continue to work with those children now that they are turning three! There is something wonderful about a new baby, especially when it's the parents first child. The best part for me is that I will have the chance to continue to photograph him as he continues growing and changing during this first year. I'm already looking forward to the next shoot 3 months from now. Here's a quick glance from Sunday :

This weekend I met again with Lily for her six month photo session. The campus of Centre College in Danville Ky. provided a nice backdrop for this photo shoot. During the session I came to find out that her Mom and Dad were actually married in the same location two years prior. We then decided to use the same set of doors for some of her photos that was used in some of their wedding photos.
This was the second session in her Baby's First Year package and our first outdoors. Time really does fly and if you would like, you can view her first session here as well. Lexington Ky. Family Photographer | {A Family Celebration}
It as certainly been a busy few weeks for this family. One daughter graduating college, one son graduating high school and their other daughter getting confirmed into the Catholic Church. Considering all that they have to celebrate, they decided that there would be no better time to invite family and friends into their home to join in the celebration. I spent a few hours with them Saturday afternoon and during that time I came to know and appreciate each of their individual accomplishments. However, what I really learned was what a wonderful, fun loving, family environment that they have created for their children and just how grounded that they are in their faith. And really, what could ever be more important? Here are several photos from the afternoon:
