I worked with Morgan last year as a senior rep before her senior year but she decided that she'd like to have a spring session as well. Obviously, I was thrilled at the opportunity to work together again! This time, we knew that she had decided to continue her academic pursuits at Transylvania University so we decided to use their campus as the main back drop for her portraits. Wow, the timing was perfect. The trees were in full bloom and the historic architectural details provided a wonderful backdrop as well. Today, I am sharing a little preview of her session here on my blog - enjoy!

Centennial Park in Wilmore,Ky. provided the perfect backdrop for this engagement session last week. Add to that setting a warm spring day, a beautiful couple, and the first fire truck that was purchased by the city in 1951. Now you can visualize why I was so excited about this session. We had a lot of fun in a short amount of time as our imaginations ran through all the possibilities that were available. Cassidy and Aaron were so much fun and open to pretty much everything and had some great ideas of their own that we were able to try as well. I knew when I left that not only would there be some great shots on the camera but that their wedding day would be a lot of fun as well. Today I want to share some of those shots here on my blog!

What do you get when you combine St. Patrick's Day, two Irish families, and a wedding? Many good times, laughs, and a lot of great memories! This was the setting last Saturday when I worked with Amy and Chris on their wedding day here in Lexington Ky. This was a unique situation in that none of the guests were from Lexington. Amy has a love of horses and Chris fell in love with the location while here on a job assignment. This was a natural meeting location in the middle of both families and provided the background that they desired. It was perfect! As a lifelong Lexingtonian, I had a good time listening to the take of others on the beauty of our city and state. Today I want to share some of the beauty of their wedding here on my photography blog, a little sneak peak of their finished product. Congratulations to Amy and Chris! I had a fun time with both of you and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. I also need to give thanks to the following vendors for making it all possible:
Venue & Catering : Copper Roux
DJ : BMF Sound Design
Wedding Dessers : Martines
Floral Bouquets : Doug Smith Designs

Last week, I met this sweet couple downtown for their engagement session. The session was a Christmas gift from his sister and they scheduled the session in the most opportune time here in Kentucky. We met right after the cold season and before the rain set in for what seemed like weeks on end.It was a glorious day and they were so much fun. I was able to stand back at times and just capture their natural interactions which always leads to some of my favorite images. By the time it was over, we had covered several blocks of downtown, shared some laughs, and made some memories. I had a lot of fun and I think they did as well! Here is a little preview from their session :

I can't think of many better ways to celebrate New Year's Eve than a wedding. The only drawback here in Kentucky might be the weather and that was the case last Sunday. Fortunately, we did not have to deal with any snow and ice but man was it cold! I have to say that the wedding party did a fantastic job of braving the elements so we could quickly grab some outdoor shots around the venue. We were able to shoot the rest of the day indoors at the very accommodating Dunnville Christian Church in Dunnville, Ky.
I truly enjoyed my time spent with both families and their friends. I can honestly say that Paige and Jason have surrounded themselves with a very capable support system of family, friends, and their Christian faith. They both have a gentle spirit, are relaxed, and easy to work with. I have no doubts at all that they will enjoy their new life together to the fullest extent. Today on my blog I am sharing some highlight from their day.
Thank you all so much for your support in 2017. Happy New Year and I look forward to sharing more highlights here in the coming year.
