Fun Fact : I shot my very first wedding in Louisville Kentucky!  It has been several years, and many weddings, since that day and last weekend I was happy to be back in the Derby City for the wedding of Paige and Jacob.  I knew it was going to be a great day as soon as I entered her parents home and saw all the details in place for her wedding day.  Their theme of "Best Day Ever" truly lived up to the saying as everyone seemed to be relaxed and living in the moment.  Saint Bernadette Catholic church provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony which was followed by dinner and a fun reception at Mellwood Arts Center.   I had the fortunate job of capturing the images of the day and loved working with the new locations.  A great wedding has many components and vendors responsible for making everything perfect.  These Louisville vendors went above and beyond providing services that were outstanding.  Special thanks should be given for :

I met Sophie a few years ago when we met at a local coffee shop.  She wanted to ask my advice about photography and the photography business and the time passed quickly as we talked about my favorite passion.  Fast forward to today and she's now engaged and looking forward to her upcoming wedding.  I was thrilled when she asked me to be their photographer and last weekend I had the chance to meet her fiancé, David, at their wedding venue for a early morning engagement session.  We had a good time walking through the vineyards at Talon Winery and sharing more than a few laughs during the morning together.  I know that this will be a fun wedding that will be remembered years later.  I look forward to working with them on their big day!  Today I leave a few of my favorites from the engagement session here on my blog:

Go big or go home.  If you asked me what I thought about this wedding that would be my response.  As I look back on this wonderful wedding I think of two separate events.  The day began with a beautiful full mass Catholic wedding at Christ The King Cathedral and ended with a huge party at The Round Barn Stable Of Memories.  Individually they were both fun and beautiful but when you join them with party bus transportation and think of the entire day, it was awesome.  I had a blast covering this wedding and working with the newlyweds.  This will go down as one of my favorites, hands down.  Needless to say this is my largest wedding blog.  I kept finding more photos I needed to add.  I hope you don't mind.
